Dear Daba customers,
We understand your impatience and your desire to see your investment orders come to fruition quickly. Allow us to explain in detail the process that takes place when you place an order on our platform.
When you place an order to buy or sell, it is first transmitted to the market for execution. The market needs to find a matching counterparty, i.e. another investor willing to buy or sell at the specified price. This stage can be instantaneous if the market is very liquid and there are many similar orders. However, for some less frequently traded securities, it may take a few hours or even days.
During this period, the status of your order in your Daba account will appear as “pending”. Don’t worry, this simply means that the market is looking for the best possible execution for your order.
Once a counterparty is found and your order is executed at the agreed price, the status will change to “Executed” or “Filled”. This is when the settlement phase begins. Settlement is the process by which the securities are actually transferred to your account and the money is exchanged. This stage takes 3 working days after the transaction has been executed, in line with industry standards.
When settlement is complete, the status of your order will change to “Settled”. The securities will then be visible in your Daba portfolio, and you can hold, sell or transfer them as you wish.
It is important to note that these execution and settlement times are standard and apply to all investors.
